What it is and how it works

Shooting Star is a web application for automatic photo tagging. You just upload pictures, our system labels them for you automatically. This way, you can find them later again with keyword search. Plus, for each place you took pictures of, we also show you related information, such as Links from Wikipedia. While browsing your photo collection, you can now learn more about the places you visited.

The service will costs a monthly fee, free trial will be available. Currently we are in private beta. This means you can sign-up below, and we will notify you when we are ready for more users. (Usage in private beta is free.)

Flickr Integration

Shooting Star works perfectly with Flickr. You can easily connect to your Flickr account. Then you can start auto-tagging your photosets with a simple drag and drop approach. When we are done tagging your photos, you can send the information we found back to Flickr with a single click.

No software needed

The whole software runs in the cloud, that is in your web-browser. So you don't have to install anything and you always get the latest version of the application.

The service is powered by high precision image recognition technology brought to you by kooaba and Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) - both are based in Zürich, Switzerland.
